I'm thinking maybe I should start looking into adding textures on the computer so my images have a bit more depth maybe? I have already found some lovely ones I could use, I would also like to make my own, that could be fun

oh so beautiful, you are an awesome artist, think you pictures are pretty the way they are, maybe if you are going to add textures they ruin you pics o0... you can try and compare wich one looks beetter
