Applebloom Needle-felt by ChloeNArt Applebloom Needle-felt by ChloeNArt
I haven't been able to make many new ponies of late I'm afraid, but I made this little Applebloom a few months ago because Applebloom is adorable Also I made several versions of her sister AJ which I will upload soon.
:/ I can't decide if the photo is too dark or too bright, that annoying pink I used for the bow is so hard to photograph, it comes out blindingly vibrant (as it did when I used it for Pinkie).

She looks awesome, especially the eyes! does this have a wire frame?

Thanks! And no she doesn't, though I usually use wire in the larger ponies for slightly posable legs.

This is the most adorable freaking thing ever! I'm very impressed with the eyes, they are so expressive! How did you get the color of the iris to gradient like that? It seems very difficult. Also, about how big is this Apple Bloom? If she's about as big as I'm guessing (maybe about 3 inches?) then I'm surprised that you managed to get her tiny legs so sturdy and balanced.

Very, very good job. Quite impressive.

Thank you! The gradient on the eyes is achieved through layering tiny amounts of wool in different colours. It can be fiddly but I think it's worth the trouble :)
Yes she's about that, almost 4", and I guess the tail balances her out fortunately, but I do sometimes have problems with the ponies falling over under the weight of their big heads XD

Huh, I'll have to try doing some gradients on some scrap fabric or something, it's so beautiful when used in pony eyes. You've certainly used it to beautiful effect :)
